SAT Math
SAT Math Tutoring in NYC and Westchester
The modern SAT is digital, shorter, and more punishing than SATs of the past. Until a student’s baseline skills have been evaluated, it’s difficult to know where gains in efficiency can be made. That’s why my first hour is always dedicated to witnessing the student work. I share my findings and recommendations in a written report.
$150 · written findings · sometimes the only hour you need.
SAT math work often runs alongside AP Calculus tutoring for juniors. A single hour is sufficient for me to provide analysis and recommendations for both subject areas.

Where students miss points the most
Module 1 sets the ceiling
The test adapts. Too many errors in the first module route you to an easier second module with a capped score.
The calculator conundrum
A graphing calculator sits inside the exam, and it’s tempting to lean on it for everything. It’s crucial to know which questions are solved faster using pencil and paper.
Panic destroys precision
Speed-reading results in sloppy mistakes, and untrained students frequently make the exact same error when double-checking.
